RCC Summit - Chiang Mai Essential Information

RCC SUMMIT CHIANG MAI: ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Summits are offered exclusively to RCC members. If you wish to join us and you are not already a member, you should purchase a membership here before submitting a ballot entry.

  • We recommend creating an account with Easol before the Summit goes live to expedite your booking process.

  • Tickets will go live on 20 February, 2026. In order for maximum fairness of access, we will release the tickets in two waves across timezones, 8:00 GMT and 17:00 GMT.

  • Tickets start from £2700 for a sharing room, and £3800 for single occupancy with an £850 extra cost for non-riding partners. 6-month payment plans are available. There are five accommodation options:

    • Deluxe Twin Room (Sharing) £2700 or local equivalent 50sqm, with twin beds.

    • Deluxe Single Occupancy £3800 or local equivalent 50sqm, with a king-size bed.

    • Suite Twin Room (Sharing) £3000 or local equivalent 105 sqm, with twin beds.

    • Single Occupancy Room in Shared Suite (2-3 People) £3800 or local equivalent 90-140sqm, single occupancy room with private WC. Shared kitchenette and living room.

    • Suite Single Occupancy £4300 105sqm, with a king-size bed

  • RCC Summits specifically are for experienced group riders with intermediate to advanced abilities. Though we have shorter warm-up and warm-down rides that will be at a social pace, Day 2 and Day 3 rely on members arriving ready for the endeavour. We expect riders to keep an average pace of 24kph on the flat at a minimum. Over 100km, including 1500m+ of climbing, we expect a minimum pace of 19kph.

  • This trip in particular is mountainous with up to 400 km and 7000 m climbing across the weekend.

  • Due to the logistical complexity and group riding nature of RCC Summits, they are not suitable for beginner or novice riders. However, they are certainly an ambitious goal to build towards over time. If you are unsure whether this trip would be suitable for you, please reach out to your local community lead as a first port of call. If you are an International member, reach out to summits@rapha.cc.

  • The provisional routes will be sent to all attendees from July 01, 2026, to aid your preparation. In general, the terrain is mountainous and compact, with some routes being in excess of 100 km and 2000m of climbing per day, so please begin your preparation as soon as you can.

  • It is not necessary to book travel plans before booking the Summit, but we require your travel information by September 01 2026. After you have successfully booked, you will be sent a form within a month that requires all your flight details/information.

  • If you need to make any changes to your booking details eg. garment size, dietary restrictions, etc, please edit your response in Easol. Please confirm by email, sent to summits@rapha.cc, and quote your full name and booking reference number, which is included in your confirmation email.

  • Refunds are only offered for this trip at the discretion of the organisers. Where an applicant can no longer attend, the organisers will seek to find a member to take the place. We cannot guarantee this will be possible. We recommend you take out insurance for the risk of non-attendance due to illness, travel disruption, or any other unforeseen event.  If you would like to discuss a name transfer or resale, please contact us at summits@rapha.cc and quote your full name and booking reference number, which is included in your confirmation email.

  • Cycling inherently has risks. This is true at a Summit, where road accidents can happen between other members, vehicles or independently. All participants are required to have Sports Travel Insurance, which will cover you for the activities you will be undertaking in the region. Regular National or Travel insurance is not sufficient. It is the responsibility of Summit guests to acquire the correct insurance for the activity contained in a Summit. Please ensure you have this before the Summit. You will be asked for proof of appropriate insurance in advance of the trip and will not be permitted to partake in the Summit without this.

  • Due to the nature of the riding, we do ask all members to assess their health and fitness before partaking. It is mandatory to alert the organisers to any health issues in advance. We will tailor our first aid, team and medical provision to this information.

  • The Summit is primarily a riding event; if you do not feel that you will be able to ride the full Summit, please consider offering your place to allow other members to apply.

  • We don't currently offer a full programme for non-riding guests. However, the hotel offers a number of cultural and tourism experiences. If this is of interest to you, we highly recommend contacting the hotel to arrange one of the available opportunities.

  • Accommodating non-riding guests in the support cars is at the discretion of the event organisers during the event and is not included in the cost of the ticket. The support vehicles’ primary duty is towards the riders, event logistics and overall event safety and rider experience.

  • For couples who are both riding guests, please request 2 places (i.e. 2 x Sharing room) and both be active RCC members. When you receive the post-purchase information form, add your room preference names there. We can then organise the room to have a double bed.

  • All sharing rooms will be allocated based on your preference provided in the post-purchase questionnaire. There is a full programme of riding and socialising each day, so guests will be in the rooms for a minimal amount of time. All rooms have separate bathroom facilities and an indoor seating area. We will endeavour to make this as comfortable as possible for all guests.

  • The RCC's standard Terms and Conditions and Ride Waiver will apply to this trip. You can read them here.
