Leadership

Fran Millar - Chief Executive Officer

“This is a role that I now realise my entire career has been building towards.” Fran Millar was appointed CEO of Rapha in September 2024, bringing with her over 20 years of leadership experience in elite sport, cycling and luxury fashion. After leaving school, Millar established her own athlete management agency, representing rising stars Mark Cavendish and Geraint Thomas, before becoming a founding member of Team Sky, delivering an unprecedented seven Tour de France titles, from 2012 – 2019. As the team's Head of Winning Behaviours, Millar was responsible for developing an empathetic, value-oriented, high-performance culture fundamental to the team's success at the apex of professional cycling. Millar then applied this methodology to help Eliud Kipchoge break the sub-two-hour marathon barrier, before leading Team Sky's transition into Team INEOS. In October 2020, Fran became CEO of British heritage marque Belstaff, driving transformational change and super-charging the iconic global brand with a people-led approach to reinvention and collective ambition.

Favourite Ride

“The Esponellà loop from my brother's house in Catalonia, with my sister-in-law, Cole. We put the world to rights, complain a little bit about the climbs, shout loudly at each other about how beautiful it is and have a coffee by the lake on the way home. What we refer to as a ‘cheeky little Esponellà loop’ always reminds me of why I love riding my bike.”

Michelle Woolaghan – Chief Finance Officer

Michelle happened upon retail finance when she joined the Arcadia Group graduate scheme in 2007. Tempted by the Topshop discount and an abundance of parties, she continued to build her career in retail, loving the mix of analysis, psychology and creativity. Since joining Rapha in 2022 Michelle has brought her energy for retail and love of spreadsheets to the world of performance cycling apparel.

Favourite Ride

"Anywhere that isn't my usual commute up and down the Seven Sisters Road in East London."

Caroline Crosswell – Chief Operations Officer

Caroline has always worked in retail and joined Rapha from Burberry where she led the exponential growth of the Emerging Markets division until taking on a broader responsibility of business development and real estate across EMEA. She previously held Managing Director positions with Lola Rose and Neisha Crosland and lived in New York for several years. Caroline’s favourite bike is her current one, a Canyon Endurance. “The colours match my engagement ring perfectly and I am reliably told my bike will always out-peform my riding ability!”

Favourite Ride

“Relatively new to road cycling, my favourite rides are on Sunday mornings with my girlfriends across the New Forest and down to the Coast. The scenery is stunning and ever changing and catching up on local gossip and stories are of equal importance!”

Joel Natale – Chief Product Officer

Joel joined Rapha in 2022 after being a loyal customer for 15 years or so. He has spent his whole career in cycling from bike stores as a student, to commercial roles at Evans Cycles and Brompton. Joel has a young daughter and is looking forward to adding to the family's collection of bikes when the time comes. His current favourite bike is one of his two Moultons - "I love the unique look and the exceptional ride quality."

Favourite Ride

"I've been incredibly lucky to experience some amazing rides, probably day one of a bike packing trip to Argentina, from Bariloche to Villa La Angostura via Llao Llao. We arrived the day before, it was freezing and blowing a gale, we woke up the next day to warm weather, blue sky and incredible views."
