Leadership
Francois Convercey - Chief Executive Officer
Francois joined Rapha in 2015, and was previously Rapha’s Chief Brand & Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Rapha, Francois worked across a number of marketing and business leadership roles within the consumer goods industry, having spent 12 years with L’Oreal, Mars and Procter & Gamble. When he’s not taking his 2 young children on a ride, Francois loves exploring the roads in the French Cevennes, where he fell in love with bike riding 30 years ago. He considers his favourite bike to be the next one. “There is always something special about the quest for your next bike, and the process that it involves. I am on the hunt for a vintage Look 396 track bike"
The Cevennes, in the South of France. “This is where I fell in love with road cycling as a kid. I spent most of my family holidays there. It is one of the most remote areas to ride in, but one that brings truly inspirational riding. The roads, the smell, the variety of terrain - everything brings me back to my childhood memories.”
Michelle Woolaghan – Chief Finance Officer
I stumbled across retail finance when I joined the Arcadia Group finance graduate scheme in 2007. I was tempted in by the Topshop discount and great parties but I have continued to build my career in retail because I love the mix of analysis, psychology and creativity. Since joining Rapha in 2022 I feel so lucky that I get to combine my love of spreadsheets and retail with a mission to inspire the world to live life by bike!
"Anywhere that isn't my usual commute up and down the Seven Sisters Road in East London."
Caroline Crosswell – Chief Operations Officer
Caroline has always worked in retail and joined Rapha from Burberry where she led the exponential growth of the Emerging Markets division until taking on a broader responsibility of business development and real estate across EMEA. She previously held Managing Director positions with Lola Rose and Neisha Crosland and lived in New York for several years. Caroline’s favourite bike is her current one, a Canyon Endurance. “The colours match my engagement ring perfectly and I am reliably told my bike will always out-peform my riding ability!”
“Relatively new to road cycling, my favourite rides are on Sunday mornings with my girlfriends across the New Forest and down to the Coast. The scenery is stunning and ever changing and catching up on local gossip and stories are of equal importance!”
Joel Natale – Chief Commercial Officer
Joel joined Rapha in 2022 after being a loyal customer for 15 years or so. He has spent his whole career in cycling from bike stores as a student, to commercial roles at Evans Cycles and Brompton. Joel has a young daughter and is looking forward to adding to the family's collection of bikes when the time comes. His current favourite bike is one of his two Moultons - "I love the unique look and the exceptional ride quality."
"I've been incredibly lucky to experience some amazing rides, probably day one of a bike packing trip to Argentina, from Bariloche to Villa La Angostura via Llao Llao. We arrived the day before, it was freezing and blowing a gale, we woke up the next day to warm weather, blue sky and incredible views."
Rob Lee – Chief Creative Officer
With over two decades of experience in the athletic sector, Rob began his career at Reebok. After joining Adidas in 2008, he successfully led the brand expression and also headed up product design for the training, athletics, sportswear and basketball business units.
“Having been lucky enough to experience some of the best single track in the world on my bike, I must say one of my favourites is in Bend Oregon. Starting in town the moment you hit the trail you take in the fresh smell of the ponderosa pine trees. Climbing to Mt. Bachelor via Shelvin's Park you ascend to Flagline and then descend down to Swampy Lakes on the rugged singletrack. As you cross over from Swampy to Wanoga Sno Park from there you get to blast down the legendary tiddlywinks with all its handmade features back into town. Truly Epic.”
