Learn about the caféGiven Chicago’s weather, its cyclists have to be a hardy bunch and can be found out riding in all conditions. The Clubhouse is located on North Damen Ave, in the city’s Bucktown neighbourhood and plays host to rides, race screenings, and events throughout the year. You’ll also find the Rapha product range and some fine coffee, expertly brewed by our baristas.
Chicago’s cycling history is long and storied. It was once the bicycle-building capital of the USA, has been home to 10 velodromes over the years, and still produces weather-hardened riders who play a part in a strong cycling culture. In keeping with the city’s cycling tradition, the Clubhouse is well-placed for access to the city’s riding, whether that be early morning intervals near Lake Shore or longer excursions past the northern suburbs. The Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) chapter runs regular rides out of the city along some of the best and lesser-known roads.
Four six–pointed stars embellish Chicago’s flag. A precise and exacting representation of this vast and populous city, the flag of Chicago is a visual summary of a long and storied past. The four stars symbolise four major historical landmarks and events that have shaped the city; Fort Dearborn, The Great Fire of 1871, The World's Columbian Exposition of 1893, and The Century of Progress Exposition of 1933–34. This has inspired the emblem for the Chicago chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) and its Clubhouse, Rapha Chicago.
