Australian Bryn Atkinson changed the way the sport of downhill mountain biking was approached. Aggressive, attacking, and packed with style, his riding broke the mould – and he’s almost guaranteed to be one of your favourite rider’s favourite riders.
Arriving in the US in the early 2000s as part of the Iron Horse/Mad Catz Factory Race Team, which also featured fellow Aussie Sam Hill, his approach and handling prowess helped shift the perception of what could be done on a bike.
Smooth, effortless, yet incredibly powerful, Bryn’s abilities landed him multiple World Cup top tens, as well winning the 2007 US Open amongst a stacked field and the 2010 Pro Gravity Tour Series overall.
Now an accomplished filmmaker and photographer, Bryn maintains his position at the sharp end of the sport not through racing, but product development and testing for some of the biggest brands in the business.
