En savoir plus sur le caféSitting between the Everglades and the ocean, Miami offers tropical sunshine and views that stretch to the horizon. The highest point in the city tops out at just 42ft but while climbing is not an option, there’s no shortage of speedy group rides to latch on to. Groups which loop around Miami’s parks and golf courses are particularly fast and so too are out-and-back jaunts past Key Biscayne and Miami Beach. The heat and humidity of Miami also have an impact on the city’s cycling and coffee cultures. When it comes to stopping for a drink, riders have a choice of Cuban-influenced options, from short and sweetened Cortaditos to communal servings of Coffee Colada.
It’s hard to imagine now but Miami Beach was once a mosquito-infested wasteland. In fact, it was only after automobile pioneer Carl Fisher moved there in 1910 that the area was drained and mangroves were replaced with architectural marvels. Oceanfront estates and luxury hotels cropped up along the coastline, all in the standout style du jour. Always built in three sections and no more than three stories tall, Art Deco buildings still border the beachfront today, drawing visitors from around the world and serving as the inspiration for our Miami Clubhouse’s emblem.
