Learn about the caféThe cycling culture in Copenhagen has become known the world over, so much that it is regarded as the first cycling city in the world. Located among the boutiques, restaurants and cafés in the city centre, Rapha Copenhagen provides a refuge for cyclists and a place to relax away from the bustling streets.
The Clubhouse offers the finest food and coffee along with the chance to shop the Rapha range, watch live racing on the big screens and take part in any number of the events planned in the Clubhouse through the year, from workshops to talks, which all are welcome to attend.
Rapha Copenhagen is the home of the Copenhagen chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) and serves as a meeting place for club rides which venture out of the city and around the coast.
Granted by King Frederick III of Denmark in 1661, Copenhagen’s coat of arms recognised the efforts of the city in repelling an assault by Swedish forces following a six-month siege in 1859. The Swedes lost more than 600 men, many in the frozen waters surrounding the city walls – compared to 17 Danish defenders. The coat of arms, which features three towers rising above water, is the inspiration for the emblem for the Copenhagen chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) and its Clubhouse, Rapha Copenhagen.
