Panache: it’s the romantic heroism that writes riders into history books and etches them into the minds of fans. It’s what makes cycling a sport for the brave. As 2025 draws to a close, it’s time to look back on the moments of dare and do we’ll remember most this year.

Cycling produces so many gripping stories, compelling characters, and rides of note across its many disciplines. We could have listed another ten, and then another ten after that, feeling like we had barely scratched the surface. 2026 is nearly here, raring to go. We can smell the beer and frites of New Year cyclocross and feel the heat of Southern Hemisphere competition just around the corner.
What will the season have in store? What feats of panache will we be recounting this time next year? Who knows, but with exciting athlete announcements on the horizon, there is a good chance we could see some RCC athletes make the list.
