Outskirts is the story of the most iconic roads in the world; the highways and country lanes that connect people and places, towns and countries, cultures and continents. The Big Land, our second film in the series, follows four riders as they attempt to cycle the length of the Trans-Labrador Highway, one of the longest, most remote gravel roads in the world. They confront the vast wilderness of northeastern Canada, thousands of miles of complete isolation, and the handful of communities who make their home in the inhospitable.

Meet the Riders:

Gus Morton

Older but perhaps not wiser than his younger sibling, Lachlan, Gus debuted Thereabouts in 2014, birthing a series on riding that’s less about racing and more about relationships.

Dan Craven

Dan is an old friend of the brand, having raced for Rapha Condor in 2009. Two-time national Road Race Champion, Dan reckons Namibia would be tricky for most to point out on a map.

Jacob Rathe

In 2018, Jacob rode with team Jelly Belly–Maxxis, making the podium at the US champs before hanging up his helmet for good. That explains why the Portland-born pedaler turned up without one.

Sami Sauri

Sami started out racing fixed-gear crits, finishing top 20 at Red Hook Crit in 2017. She spent a short time at Rapha’s Clubhouse in Berlin before swapping a barista’s apron for the open road.
