Rapha + Bremont

Beautifully engineered cycling chronometers handbuilt in Britain for Rapha Cycling Club members around the world.

Timekeeping has always been an essential part of bike racing. Ever since the sport’s earliest days, when pioneering riders covered vast distances between expanding industrial cities and entered the unknown in the high mountains of the Alps, races have been won or lost, careers made and rivalries defined by handfuls of seconds.

The stopwatch always has had the final say in cycling. But while the world’s oldest race is held in Belgium, its longest in Italy and its most famous in France, the precise timekeeping technology that every race relies on has remained the reserve of the Swiss. Until now.

Established two years before Rapha, time began for Bremont in 2002 when brothers Nick and Giles English embarked on a journey to make beautifully crafted pilot’s watches of exceptional quality. Two decades later, the brothers have not only brought mechanical watchmaking back to Britain but also established a reputation as one of the foremost manufacturers of precision timepieces anywhere in the world.

Bremont has gone on to engineer chronometers for mountaineers and adventurers, freedivers and racing drivers. But no matter who they’re made for, all Bremont watches are hand built with considerable care in the UK.

In partnership with Bremont, we are extremely proud to present Rapha Cycling Club members with the opportunity to purchase the ultimate chronometer for cyclists. Capable of withstanding ejection from an aircraft, the Rapha MBIII is fine-tuned for travelling the world by bike.

Developed to withstand the same altitude, vibration, extreme temperature and crashworthy testing as Bremont’s pilot’s watches, the Rapha MBIII is housed in a 43mm Grade 5 titanium case. Incredibly lightweight and durable, it is hypoallergenic and corrosion resistant.

Even harder than titanium, a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating is applied to the watch surface using physical vapour disposition to create an extremely durable layer of carbon particles that guards against scratches.

The watch features a black dial with a Super-LumiNova® coating for ease-of-use in low light, a black lume 24H hand and a black and dark grey 24H dial ring. The iconic ejector seat handle MB seconds hand is coloured pink in the Rapha pantone, while twin knurled crowns set the time and operate the inner rotating bezel. The GMT function allows you to set another time zone on your watch so you can tell home time and travel time at once.

Presented on a versatile, sweat-resistant rubber strap along with an additional complementary leather strap, each Rapha MBIII will be numbered as part of our limited run and can also be customised with the option to engrave your personal RCC membership number on the case back.
