The Flatirons, which start immediately after the city’s western boundary, are the playground of the pros – if you see a team jersey on your ride to Flagstaff Mountain, it’s likely to be on the shoulders of a true professional. Boulder Creek offers a quieter route to the hills, leading to Four Mile Canyon and its maze of gravel roads that crisscross the pristine wilderness that is the foothills of the Rockies.
The Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) has a full programme of rides running from the Clubhouse for members through the year and customers new to cycling are also catered for with a organised trips.
Rapha Boulder, located at the east end of Pearl Street, offers near-instant access to some of the country’s best riding along with fine coffee, race viewings, events, and the full range of Rapha clothing and accessories.
The city of Boulder is punctuated by the flatirons – five giant slabs of rock perched on the east side of Green Mountain. They are widely recognised as the symbol of the city, representing ‘open space’ in a place that’s famous for its connection to the outdoors. Basing the emblem of the Boulder chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) and its Clubhouse, Rapha Boulder, on the rocks and everything they stand for is a fitting tribute to the city.
