10 January 2023Teams gathered for a demanding day of gravel adventure, curated by cycling-obsessed Park City native and co-owner of Ritual Chocolate, Robbie Stout. Just 75 miles northwest of New York City lies the Upper Delaware Valley, considered a hidden gem by those that know it. Scouted by Rapha NYC Ride Leader Enze Yan, the route snaked along the Delaware River and treated teams to more than 110 idyllic miles of winding roads and gravel riding.

“Gravel. Road. Hills. More hills. And even bigger, steeper hills. Got to soak in some really beautiful landscapes. Met some cool people along the way. It was a most excellent adventure. An experience I won’t forget.”

The Rapha MTB team, with the help of local mountain biking expert Lars Sternberg, pulled no punches for Rapha’s first MTB Prestige. Nestled inside Bellingham’s lush forests and dense trail network, the route tested teams to more than 50 miles of singletrack, forested fire roads and plenty of gnarly descents. (Not to mention a post-ride meal from Rapha Ambassador, Lentine Alexis!)

Teams convened at Santa Cruz Bicycles pre-sunrise for an epic day of riding among the redwoods. Rapha Athlete Tobin Ortenblad crafted a route featuring Santa Cruz's finest gravel (mostly mud thanks to midweek storms), climbs and coastline flats. Vibes remained high from sun up to sun down, with the final team rolling in just past 9pm.
